Also bringing joy is how well the highschool AU seems to be going down. This makes me happy because I actually quite like that one myself, which doesn't happen all that often.

So, say I was writing a highschool AU featuring grumpy misfit Jensen and jock with a heart of gold Jared. Would you guys be into that?

• He takes his cereal upstairs and kicks a path from his bedroom door to the bed, clothes flying like sand. It's not like he's some miserable, tortured artist type. Although, yeah, he does like art class and he doesn't like people. It's not even like he really spends his days wallowing around in his sweatpants listening to sad music and blogging about the state of the universe (only on Sundays anyway.) It's just, senior year starts in three days and he's going to have to decide what he wants to do with his life or some shit and Jensen feels like he's been standing still for the last few years. It's like everyone else is on fast-forward and he's up to his knees in quicksand.
  
  It's just fucking scary, okay. 

   

 

 If you only read one fic today, this week or even this month. Please make it this one. It has broken my heart in ways I didn't think a story could and put it back together again in the same breath. It reads like poetry, everything that doesn't need to be said left unsaid. My day is better for having read this story and so am I.

Jared squeezes at Jensen as hard as he can, until Jensen reaches up and digs his fingers into Jared's side. "Hey," Jensen says. "When are the hundreds gonna get here?"

Jared groans. He bites Jensen's shoulder. "A couple days."

"I can see it now," Jensen says. "It'll be my Ridley Scott moment."

Jared pulls away. He's shining. He looks at Jensen, takes him in. "Sometimes, I think you're so close to perfect," Jared says. He cocks his head and measures Jensen's height with his hand, then lifts it a few inches. "And then I remember."


Seriously. Read it now. There are so many moments in this where you will pause and think "Oh, so that's how it's done." It's amazing. OH! It's also kind of about zombies, but that totally isn't the point. It's a work of art.

FINALLY, after over an hour of getting seriously pissed of with lj's layer coding fussiness, I have managed to get my rotating headers to work. JOY. Life would be so much easier if you could just code into the CSS of your layout I swear.

ANYWAY. It works now and I am determined not to let myself get that rusty at coding ever again. I only actually have three headers at the moment so I need to make more. But it still makes refreshing the page all day slightly more exciting.

Right, I'm going to get my geek on elsewhere.

I've just been out on the balcony for a morning cup of tea and watched at least eight people do the walk of shame, complete with bare feet and heels in one hand. Oh the delights that you miss when you're in a long term relationship.

 Sometimes I wish people would watch SPN and acknowledge the fact that it is just a TV show and therefore in no way responsible for making you happy. It would be a shitty TV show if the writers only gave you stuff you liked. Also, it's only the THIRD episode. Why have people already decided what's going to happen and that they're not gonna like it?

Oh guys, I love you, I do. I even love your crazy but please. Just chill out.

That said. I can sum up my thoughts on this episode without even needing to cut. That's how good I am.

1. I don't know what the opinion is, but I think I might finally have some sort of opinion on Castiel now. I was amused, I guess?
2. Dean was pretty.
3. I totally understand where he was coming from at the end and it doesn't make him an asshole. It also wont last.
4. Leave Sammy alone, Nick is cool enough for you all on him own. But have more of these chats please? HOT.
5. Still on Lucifer's side. SO COOL. AND CREEPY.

Also NIPPLES. That is all.

Actually it's not. I want everyone who will inevitably start bitching their little heads off next week to remember this ep. Because we all know who actually has the cooler storyline this season now, don't we? So there :P
